UPDATE ON 2011/2012 SCREENING EXERCISE
The 2011/2012 Screening Exercise for successful candidates has been scheduled from MONDAY 5TH SEPTEMBER TO FRIDAY 9TH SEPTEMBER, 2011. The present schedule is informed by the forth-coming Ramadan Holiday.
- Prospective candidates are advised to visit UNAAB website to know their admission status
- Successful candidates must print out their offer of Provisional Admission Letters as well as their screening schedule (Date, Venue and Time) before coming for the screening in the scheduled date.
- All information will be available online
- Keep checking our Website: www.unaab.edu.ng as information will be updated soon.
Requirements for the Screening are:
1) Original copies of candidate’s credentials
2) Evidence of payment of Acceptance fee of N25,000.00
3) Evidence of payment of Computer Training fee of N5,000
4) Original copy of Birth Certificate
5) Downloaded slip printed from UNAAB website, which contains the record of credentials provided/uploaded by the candidate for admission.
The record on the slip must contain the followings:
- The UTME Result
- Post-UTME Result
- O’ Level Result
- Composite Score
- Course offered the candidate on admission
- Date of Birth of Candidate

I even heard 4rm anoder source dat d rest bed space in hostel is ment 4d 2nd list. Just be prayerful n dont 4get 2call me when ur names ar out. I can never lie 2u guys 4 there is no gain in it.

Here comes a good news 4 all checkbakers, enough of rumors am just making my way out of admin office at the senate building they attended to me kindly and dey assure me of 2nd list latest 2weeks time. Av been helping pple since, now i need help. I got a room at camp 4 30k and i was told to pay b4 friday and am out of cash right now, i need sum1 who can pay 4 it and make me his roommate and i will pay him later or sum1 dat has a room already and looking 4 rommate with reasonable price and good terms of agreement. Assuming you scored all those grades as the scores you scored in the five subjects you submited. . .
Then your computation for the 1st step would be (6+5+4+3+2+1=21)
Then:
(21/30) * 20= (14)
Step 2: (JAMB Result)
Assuming you scored 180 as your score. . .
Then: 180/8 = (10)
Step 3: (PUTME Result)
Assuming you scored 50%. . . . . .
Then:
(50/100) * 30 = (15)
For the aggregate score. . .
Step1 score + Step2 score + Step3
Then:
14 + 10 + 15 = 39% “

There is nothing lyk 2nd list again as far as unaab is concerned. Two Dr’s from different colleges av confirmd that. Unaab has gotten the candidates they want. Except for divine intervention that we the check backs will be considered. And i don’t think any 2nd choice candidate was admitted. The management is not even saying anytin about it again that is y they refuse to change the check back status.

I will sinceerly advise all d check backers that they should put 10% of their hope on UNAAB n d remainin 90% on other schools cos most of dis ppl are management students, n i heard rumours dat they did not admit much students into d 4 departments for a start, i heard abt 80 students per department. Face reality, move on, UNAAB has admitted over 3000 students already n there is slim chance dat they will admit some more.

I regard the impression being created that there is manipulation in the admission exercise of Unaab as mere speculation. According to admission guidelines to Federal universities, 45% of the admission should be on merit and 30% on catchment area and the remaining 25% is where the universities have the latitude to use any other consideration. Luckily, Unaab’s catchment area is the whole of Nigeria and I am a Nigerian. My son who has over 60% composite score and who has chosen Economics is yet to be given admission (ask to check back). I pray and hope that when the final list is published, he will be given admission. Until then, I reserve my comments and any action on the allegation that people whose composite score is 50% has been given admission to study economics.

If unaab refuses to realse 2nd list dont worry be happy, here comes anoder opportunity, new federal university in Oye-Ekiti invites all interested applicant 4 her post utme. U dont need to choose dem as either 1st or 2nd choice, just go to any first bank and get ur form card, i think is 2600. Exam comes up on Nov. Google their website to get more info.

I heard unaab is done with admission. Imagine, some1 who score as high as 57 (composite) was denied admission, where as some1 who scored 50 was admitted into Economics. This is injustice of d highest order. Unaab appear to be the most corrupt schl i have ever seen in regard to admission. You can only see ur own score but unable to see that of other applicants. So, u won’t b able to make comparison and know ur chance of being shortlisted. Any school that present results in this way, hardly admits on merit, it becomes a matter of “who you know”. Dnt be surprised that some1 who score above 70 in post utme and about 58 (composite) is still nt offered admission yet. Tell me, what else do they expect some1 to score. I dnt think there is any1 who score above 80 in d post utme. Friends, believe it or not, Nigeria can never be free of manipulatns & corruption.

My idea of the composite score is the average of your jamb and post jamb score or is the grading of your WASC (1 – 6) part of the criteria used in calculating the composite score? Somebody should enlighten us on this. Thank you.
The School authority should also clear the air whether the air on when the 2nd batch of admission is to be released as the resumption of the new students for computer training is scheduled for 19th of September.

Adetunji,we were told dat dat we would av 2 pay our sch fees maybe starting 4rm nxt week,#26,803 for sciences n #36,000 4 eng. n veterinary studs,afta dat we’l b given a pin at d bank(he said its free buh we no unaab na) which wil b used 2 login 2 the portal n fill our admission acceptance form. In d course of filing d form,u’l b given a student code which wil b used 4 course registration later.

@toheeb, do not rush things, i am also an aspirant of unaab being asked to check back….i have my composite score at 51.5. we just need to pray, all will be well, it has been said on nairaland by other aspirant that some were disqualified at the begging of the admission process, others were told not to bother with their admission after unaab have notified us to check back on the 13th..so lets just have faith…….i pray we shall get admited….lets wait til tomorw…

Pls guys just be patience. Don’t kill yourself because of admission,just pray that UNAAB admin should not rest until the second list is out and one more thing,pray well so that you will be among those that their name will come out. Akinduro go back to the bank you paid to, dont pay another money o…Tell the bank that you are to be given a pin in refrence to the payment, or u tell them to contact a bank that is issuing the pin on ur behave so that u can use ur teller to collect the pin, u realy need the pin o, dnt dull urself.

@Admin, I think UNAAB does not know the psychological effect this date of a thing is having. The date to check status should never have been posted on the official website when results are out yet. Any date to be posted should be after everything is set and is accessible by prospective students, that is the main reason its the official website not a forum where rumours control everything. If its done in batches it should have been stated, if I recall very well, we were given batches during the exams, if its departmental, we should know, not keeping us in suspense. Please admin, I think this should be taken into consideration. Thanks

Then:
21/30 * 20/1= (14)

the 2011/2012 calendar is out and freshers are sheduled to resume on the 18 of sep and with this not every one is given the admission yet and besides the screening of admitted student is 7-10 which is a week to the resumption of the freshers.when then will the second list b out or some will have commenced lecture while some wil still b at home waiting for the list cos i no undrstandooooo

I’m directing dis post straight to ADMIN. in order to know my faith. I scored 188 in jamb and had 60percent in post jamb and my o’level is quite okay while I applied for ECONOMICS. But shocked wen i checked my admissions status dis morning wen i seen SORRY…… PLEASE ADMIN, IS THERE HOPE FOR ME OR I SHOULD OVERLOOK ALL THE LOST, PAIN AND STRESS I PASSED THROUGH during d process.
