Programme status & Time allocation of Research Fellows
- Each Research Programme is headed by a Programme Leader.
- Each Research Programme is staffed by Research Fellows whose Time Allocation is:

- 70% research
- 30% teaching & administration
- Research activities of each Research Programme are in accordance with Research Plans recommended by the relevant Research Committee and as approved by the Governing Board.
- Each Research Programme is directly funded for the conduct of approved Research Projects as recommended by the relevant Research Committee and approved by the Governing Board
Research Committees
- There is a Research Committee for each Research Programme
- A Research Committee is multidisciplinary and comprises of IFSERAR Research Fellows and Academic Staff from relevant Departments/Colleges and Centres within the University
- Membership of the Research Committees is open to all relevant, interested Academic Staff
- Each Research Committee performs the following functions in respect of its affiliated Research Programme:
- Establishes short, medium and long-term research goals
- Determines and ensures compliance with Research Focus
- Considers, reviews and recommends Research Proposals for funding
- Evaluates the Research Reports emanating from funded Projects annually
Research Projects
- Each Research Project is headed by a Project Leader
- The Project Leader has primary responsibility for the conduct of the specific Research Project
- The Project Leader submits an annual report on Research Projects and is accountable for grants spent
- Individual researchers or research groups may submit Research Proposals in line with priority research goals for consideration by the relevant Research Committee which if approved becomes a Research Project.
